Autumn on a Platter – September Pottery Workshop
Celebrate the changing season with this cozy, hands-on pottery class in my 18th-century barn studio by the sea.
In this 2 hour workshop, we’ll use slab-building techniques to shape and decorate a handmade pumpkin-themed platter. You’ll explore texture tools, stamps, and carving to bring your own creative twist to the design. You can bring your own, (Think leaves or flowers. Or something of sentimental value - lace perhaps?) or use the dozens of ideas here in the studio. Whether you lean toward bold orange, russet or stylish white or blue pumpkins, pressed leaves, or gentle curves, you’ll come away with a fantastic pumpkin platter, uniquely your own style.
This class is perfect for beginners and seasoned makers alike. Your platter will be ready for pick-up at the end of September, just in time for Thanksgiving.
Included:
• All materials and tools for 2 class sessions
• Bisque and glaze firings
• Lots of encouragement, instruction, ideas and inspiration
