Farmhouse Bowl

$65.00

This handbuilt bowl was handbuilt which results in a more organic and “perfectly imperfect” shape. The clay starts flat and I rolled a textured crocheted piece into it that my grandmother handmade over 100 years ago. After it dried and I bisque fired it in the kiln, I antiqued that crocheted part with underglaze and wiped it back for a truly unique result. The rest of it is glazed in what I call a farm house style glaze. It’s a cream coloured base with tiny little crystals in it that explode in the kiln when heated and leave those beautiful little brown specs in the finished product.
