Pottery Wheel Classes
There’s something incredibly satisfying about turning a lump of clay into something you’ve made with your own two hands.
This six-week course meets once a week and is designed to give you plenty of time to build your skills. You’ll spend the first four weeks learning to throw, centre, and pull up the clay on the pottery wheel, making a variety of bowl forms While your pieces dry, I’ll trim the bottoms for you before we spend the final two weeks glazing your work.
The pottery wheel isn’t easy—and that’s part of what makes it so rewarding. There will be wobbles, laughs, and the occasional piece that decides it had other plans! But with patience and practice, you’ll be amazed at what you can create.
No experience is necessary. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little muddy or bring an apron, and come ready to have fun. By the end of the course, you’ll head home with beautiful handmade pottery and a whole new appreciation for the craft.
